DBTC: stomatella snail

If you wanna trade some of these snails I can give you dove snails in exchange. They also grow in my tank and multiply. I'd be cool to have a variety of snails. It used to be somebody that had trocus snails that ware multiplying in the tank but did not see him around.

I am down to do that. Are dove snails typically out and about or reclusive?

i have some collonista snails if you're interested. warning, they seem to love getting into my skimmer needle impeller. plus side, it forces me to be more diligent on skimmer maintenance.

Are these guys doing well for the recipients? I wonder if they’ve typically ended up as wrasse food or been effective and breeding CUC

To find them, they typically come out at night — During the day they’re under frags and in little crevices. They like to cling upside-down, if you lift a frag plate for example check the underside of the plate itself.

I found a few in my in tank media basket when changing media. Haven't seen any in the tank display area after i added them. I'm not sure this is something i will be able to share, they are like my tanks big foot, my tanks lockness monster peppermint shrimp, and my tanks giant squid brittle stars. They should be in there but never see them.

I haven’t seen them yet. I’ll try at night. But I wouldn’t be surprised if 4 is too few for a breeding population in a large tank.

They broadcast spawn in the mornings, little puffs of cloudy water. Maybe in a big tank it’s too diluted
