Some history of the Tyree Elegance in case anyone wants to know: http://www.reeffarmers.com/auctionedelegancecoral.htm

$600 is a great price for a Tyree Elegance nowadays that’s if you can even find them for sale. I messaged multiple online retailers, R2R members and IG accounts that posted them. I was finally able to acquired a 1” Tyree Elegance frag a few weeks ago from https://rockymountainfrags.com/shop/tyree-pink-tip-elegance/. Website says $550, but price has gone up to $800. The owner Jared has had his colony for about 15 years. He got it directly from Steve. I also have another frag a bought from Tony at ReefRaft at CFM back in 2022 that’s in a friends tank for safe keeping just in case my tank crashes.

Just an idea, maybe 3 members that trust each other should chip in $200 each and buy a frag from Luke. Of the three, whoever is most experience with a bulletproof tank can grow it out and then cut it once it gets big enough. I don’t recommend keeping it with other wild elegances due to Elegance Coral Syndrome: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/e...se-and-treatment-with-fresh-water-dip.654005/ With some luck maybe it won’t die and only take a year to grow big enough to cut. High risk, high reward!

afraid not :( Everyone suggested Jared :p

But I only did a Facebook post. I have a few other I can email directly.
Luke posted a few more picutures of his elegance I don't think I've been that much in awe of a non hammer coral in a while he's sold out on them. Definitely above my price range 600 but I can see why it's expensive. It's beautiful like some of the nice acanthophyllia and scollys. I would definitely like one at some point if someone finds a cheaper lead.
