All 3 sensors are in the same section of the tank. Which one is accurate?

Well from worst to first it's only about a 2° variation, honestly I'd be happy about that. That said, being as Ink Bird tends to be a questionably cheap controller, I would say that one is most suspect. But if the calibration of any of them are off even your expensive Apex may not be accurate, it can be super precise but precision is not accuracy.

There’s precision (reproducible results but maybe not accurate) and there’s accuracy (accurate on average but maybe not as reproducible).

To get good precision, you need good dedicated hardware, like the Apex and the Inkbird. I don’t know what the third one is. Thermometers on heaters are mostly not nearly as good for precision.

For accuracy, you need to calibrate with a reference thermometer, like the one the club has for borrowing. Another I’ve found since then that’s better in my opinion for half the cost is the one from Hanna (Checktemp-1). I compared them directly and found the Hanna to be slightly more accurate. At least for the two specific units I was comparing, the club thermometer and the Hanna I bought for myself. Both are extremely precise so that is a non-issue.

So if you take good hardware and calibrate with a good reference thermometer, you’ll have what you want, which is a reliably accurate reading for your tank(s).

Doesn't this hand off need to be tracked thru BAR? I've been waiting for the thermometer for a while now.
Yes, use BARcode for tracking who has it. Adding your name to BARcode is great but you still need to reach out to the person who has it and arrange a pickup. Lots of times people have added their name and then not followed up or not taken their name off after they don’t need it anymore.

Oh, ok. I guess I got used to the PAR meter BAR where the next 5 people are on the list and you get reminders to pass it off.
