I ordered a small bottle from the fish pumper, he's the one that turned me on to it. So far there are a few people locally that have tried it without any catastrophes, I figure I'll start with a few algae covered pieces of rubble and see how long it takes to kill the algae at different concentrations.

I am sure it would have saved my tank from a red strand, bushy thread type that is covering the rocks now anywhere light hits them bright.

technically it's a bacteria IIRC.

the CAS is unique to AP (as far as I can tell). There are mentions of related algaecides dating back to 1988.
