Its time to trim back the fuge. I can make 6-8 quart size baggies of this unique macro algae. I originally got it from Shu Tin and grows well over a 5,500k-6,500k fuge bulb.

I'm in Millbrae.

How is it supposed to grow if the algae is "over" light? :)
Is that codium?

That sure looks like the codium I have in my tanks. I personally prefer it to chaeto as it doesn't get into pumps but it is not as aggressive a grower.

That would be a matter of opinion. Chaeto is great for nutrient export because it grows really fast. I find though that it has a tendency to fragment and get in my pumps necessitating additional cleaning. I also think codium looks acceptable in a tank whereas chaeto is just a weed. Codium is just as easy to control as chaeto and won't become a nuisance.

Does anyone have any trimmings they want to send off to a good home? I'm in need of a reset on my fuge

I tossed most of the dog ear, but can make a baggie size amount. I also have a boat load amount of cheato.

Both would be appreciated. Are you going to the election meeting on Saturday?
