Drews dosing pump question

I just got two Drew's Dosing Pumps from BRS and I was wondering how you guys secure the feed line to your sumps? I don't want to dose my floor

Hey Gomer,

Do you use rigid Airline tubing to go into the jugs? My LFS doesn't carry any. Where did you get yours?

You can also tap a hole to your sump and use a John Guest fitting or something along those lines.

Just flexable, but they are formed to coil on the bottom and can drain to about 1/8-1/4" fluid level.

I took a scrap piece of acrylic and drilled two holes in it the size of the tubing then glued it to the lip of my sump.

I zip tie mine to power chords.

Thanks for all the ideas guys. I like Eric's idea, but my sump is glass. I will try the zip ties for now since I have them already.

I used rigid airline tubing I got from PetSmart. They are really cheap. That's the source side. On the destination side, I was planning on putting the rigid airline tubing and securing it to my sump with MagClips. I do not have any suction cups in my tank and opted to use MagClips for everything.

Hey Scott,

Let me know how those pumps work out for you. As my sps get bigger and bigger, I am having to dose more and more Ca and Alk. I am currently dosing once a day at night after the lights go off. But I would like to provide more stability to the tank by dosing it over a long period so I don't shock my system every night. I've thought about getting the Drew's dosing pumps from BRS or ponying up for one of the Aqua Medic Reefdosers.

Hey Durwin,

I have the pumps up and running. So far, I really like them. I scheduled them to dose at night to even out my PH swing. I looked at the Aqua Medic pumps but heard mixed reviews on them. I will give you updates as time goes on.
