EVIL MONSTER

I have this giant aptasia anemone that has been growing in my tank for a few months now. It is 2" and I can't figure out how to kill it. What do I do (without joe's juice/other things like joe's juice)?

Is it stinging anything? If it's not I would leave it alone. I've had on occasion made things worse by trying the one or two aiptasia and made two dozen in the process.

I used the Red Sea Aiptasia-X when I discovered some in a small tank and it worked great; they did not retract as with Joe's Juice, seems the formula makes them think it's free food.

Kalkwasser with water. Heat about a cup in the microwave until it boils.(be careful, boiling water in the microwave can become superheated and explode into a violent boil when moved)
Use a syringe and inject "EVIL MONSTER" with the boiling hot stuff and watch it cook/melt before your eyes. (very satisfying)
This method works with just plain boiling water also.
You can inject into cracks and crevices.
I like to use a 20ml syringe with a 1mm stainless steel tip.

OK! I'll do this, but I have to go buy a syringe first... :)

Any chance you can take the rock out? I'd just grab a chisel (or flathead screwdriver in a pinch) and chip the rock off where the aiptasia is connected, and toss it away (remember not to use it as a frag plug/rock! :D)

i use a new razor blade and break the rock right below them. it just chips the rock and u can pull the rock piece with the aptasia while still in tank but if u can pull out rock u can do the same but out of the water

or you could use epoxy and seal it under it. The stuff is like plato that hardens under water.
