So cool ... I can remember laying on the dock on the south side of Aleknagik at 12:30 AM in July with the sun still up and the weather about 70 degrees ... we went through all the Wood River lakes doing salmon counts and had a mid camp up on Nerka near the outlet of Little Togiak. The best part though was the high abin about 500 yards downstream from the outlet for Kulik ... especially when all the top end campers who were flown in tricked out with all their new Cabela gear saw that they had to share the best spots with a trio of grungy college kids with discount store rods!
Sorry to hear the season wasn't that great, but at least the scenery should have been good.
