Getting Rid of Nuisance Palys

I have some palys in my 34g RSM that are sorta smothering a DBTC colony of zoas and I was wondering how to get rid of the palys without killing the zoas. I don't want to scrape them off because I've heard that a bunch of palys are toxic, so how to I get rid of them? Is it possible to melt them with boiling water? :~

about the only way I can think of in this case, is to (while wearing GLOVES and GOGGLES!) remove the rock and remove them at the rock level. razor/bonecutter/chisel etc. Killing the palys in tank is a sure way to a disaster.

I can't really remove the rock because it's one of my biggest base rocks with a huge colony of Eagle Eye zoas on it. Would Kalkwasser work?

Do not use any method of trying to kill a bunch of palys in your tank.

See if you can use bone shears to cut them off at the rock level.

I have the same problem. If I use the bone cutters, should it also be done outside the tank?

Yeah, you don't want too much Paly goo getting into your system.

Also, it cannot be stressed enough, wear eye protection, gloves, and keep your mouth shut during the procedure.

Thanks for the advice.

How about a "natural" way: I have a hammer coral and a frogspawn - would either if placed right next to the palys sting them to death?
