GFO reactor

Just started up my spetrapure dual reactor. The flow is individually adjustable.
I understand that the flow through the gfo should allow the surface to just barely tumble.
How much flow should the carbon have?
The carbon flow comes from the top, GFO from the bottom.

IME the carbon can run at about the same flow as the GFO, however you don't want it to tumble at all as it will generally pulverize it. Most of the reactors have a sponge or something that can clamp down on top of the carbon to keep it from tumbling. You can flow faster if you like, as long as it's not tumbling.
