Day 4 was easier and both more challenging. I did have 2-3 moments I had breif thought of why the heck am I here but they quickly faded made it to the destination for the day sore all over but heck I'm actually doing this. From lack of time I will be forced to skip ahead a few days. Tomorrow I plan to skip ahead 2 stages to where I have a albergue Booked. Than I'll likely book a bus to Leon one of the major cities on the route.

My second ever attempt at video editing using the stock theme.

My 3rd ever attempt editing video. I still need work but I'm a quick study. Yet this one I did the actual edits myself.

Guy name below is James from Mississippi. I was shocked to see the saints hat out the corner of my eye. Nice guy we had a breif but good conversation.

One of those refrenced moments in the pouring rain i wondered briefly why?

But than you arrive at this view of the town your staying in for the night. Something almost out of a epic fantasy novel.

Still raining but it's beautiful never the less. The people I've meet have been nothing short of amazing. Were all here for different reasons. And everyone's journey is unique to them along with their own individual challenges. Yet we are united in our ultimate destination santiago de compostela where legends allegedly claim the apostle James is buried within that cathedral. (I personally don't think it's possible to be proven one way or the other)

In all things I believe it's the journey in the end that matters.

I am a cathedral and general church art nut (not super knowledgeable, just they get my endorphins pumping). I would love to attend a casual slideshow and narration by you in the future. You were in my thoughts today when my marine science class tried their hand at gyotaku fish printing (with polymer models, not actual fish). You can spot why...

I see some scallop shells. I have tons of pictures from the burgos cathedral and some smaller churches. There we so many stained glass windows sadly O didn't directly get many photo of them. As I respond I'm on my way Saturday May 9th 133pm Spanish time heading to check out another cathedral. There is also another pilgrams mass tonight around 7pm if I'm up for it I'll probably attend. From here on I'll keep a eye out for those stained glass windows, and church art.

As far as general church art from that one cathedral in burgos I should be able to get you at least a little excited. I'll trying to up my previously non existing editing skills and see if I can put together something from the cathedral.

I have so many pictures and vidoes I need to put things together. No one will wanna see 1k+ pictures myself included lmao.

Check back in later I'll try to work on it soon.

This is my 4th day in spain. Today I took a bus to Leon Spain from Carrion De Los Condes, where I stayed last night around 95km away. I'll will stay in Leon tonight, tomorrow and than head out early on Tuesday morning further along the trail.

The video of my journey to Spain and the first two days in Burgos. Plus the tour of the burgos cathedral. @MolaMola hopefully it's some of what you had in mind towards the second half of video. There are more of other art but those are for later videos.

I just made it to Leon Spain as I write. It's 930pm and Leon Cathedral is Currently Close. I'll tour it tomorrow.

Here is a image of the outside of it.

*** Edited to add a sundown view of Leon Cathedral in it's splendor Below. I didn't think it was fair being I showed one of the one in Burgos. This shot is at 10pm the other was around 1230am I think.

The Leon Cathedral has more modern characteristics consisting of largely baroque influence with very minor Gothic influences primarily at a few of the spire's points.

Here are shots of the burgos Cathedral from the video for a easier comparison.

The Burgos Cathedral is substantially larger than the one in León in both height and width. It's almost completely influenced by Spanish Gothic Influences inside and out.

There will be much more to come. Hopefully improvements as well. When I get better at these videos.

By chance did you have time to check out Sad Hill Cemetery in Burgos? One of the most famous filming locations for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966). Clint Eastwood film directed by Sergio Leone.
Beautiful pictures Michael!

Haven't heard of it. So sadly no. Maybe if there is ever a future trip. Not likely I'd be able to get permission from the wife to do this again. At least not till she's been on a cruise and some other places first lmao. I need to build up some equities in any case.

Featuring the journey from burgos to hornillos del camino. And official start of walking. I'm currently walking on a break half way point now just past Leon on my to Villadangos del Páramo, Spain.

Video link below.

I will have future vidoes but I'm a bit behind. Editing these things takes more time than. I anticipated to make something of at least meddling quality.

Thanks for all the support it's encouraging.

My birthday is on the 15th 3daya until ai hit 39. Still trying to figure out what to do that day.

Episode 3 Hornillos Del Camino to Castrojeriz.

This day things actually felt challenging. Sore for the day before not to mention it started raining. It was expected ahead of time. Though I wasn’t mentally prepared for it. You still have 7 miles to go to your destination the warm as it's been is 51 degrees. When you start walking most days its in low 40s add rain on top of that and it got to me for a moment. It probably didn't help I only have a rain jacket and a lightweight quarter zip quick dry sweater. There isn't any room for a jacket like you would wear back home let along the thought of the added weight of carrying one of those or a umbrella.

Nevertheless I ended that day with high spirits. It's since rained on more days especially today leaving Leon. However this time I was able to walk 12.5 miles in the rain and enjoyed the experience despite being soaking wet for several hours. As the Journey continues so does the journey within myself. Who knows who I'll become by the I get to that future destination. The challenges only exist to enhance the overall experience.

In real time I'm about 2-3 days ahead of these videos. Editing them takes some effort me being a total amateur and figuring things out as I make them.

Episode 4: Carrion De Los Condes. Concert, Singing Nuns, fellow pilgrams, and Waiting for the bus to Leon

This was more or less a day spent exploring the town of Carrion De Los Condes, enjoying a music filled day, and hanging out with fellow pilgrims I meet in the days prior. The day ended on a high note though it was also bittersweet as I skipped ahead by another 94Kms which equates to three days ahead of the group I meet on the first days leaving burgos. I'll also skip 2 more days towards the end of this week. I expect to arrive in Santiago De Compostela on May 25th. 4-5 days before the orginal group I meet in my first days would likely arrive there.

I've have since meet many other pilgrims. I'm looking forward to what comes in the days ahead

Looks like quite an adventure so far!

Jet lag I take it? It takes me a few days to adjust before I stop waking up in the middle of the night. Usually by the time I adjust it's time to go home
Sorry for a delayed response I somehow missed your post. I had jet lag that first day. Booked a room and didn't sleep at all pretty much a waste of money, so I booked a second night in burgos which I was tired enough by staying up that long sleep found me.
