Growing copepods

I used to grow phyto but the room the basic setup was in gotten taken to be an office over unfortunately. I want to see if I can grow copepods without an air line and without feeding live phyto. I believe it should be possible but will see! I know this is not optimal setup but I only need enough to grow for personal use.

You can do the dead phyto but you’ll need to do water changes all the time due to pollutants. Or you can try safe from seachem (if you do lmk how that works) I’ve ran many research trials with it

I read your post wrong. I thought in general you didn’t want to feed lmao. Check out RG complete. Again not ideal but it’s used for rotifers.

I have never purchased, nor do I feed them...they just show up in my systems.
I don't see the problem in keeping them

Is that your combo of 3 types of pods or what is it? Is that the pod density we should expect or is it diluted for packaging?

yes this is the 3 mix. This photo is a good representation of what you should get if you buy direct. I can’t do it for stores since stores usually will sit for a bit. When I can ship overnight and it arrive next day I can usually pack it.

I've never gotten anything other than fully packed bottled from @Coral Hub (Nathan). I will never buy pods elsewhere.

Looks great! I will at some point in the next few months make a purchase (after I do a cycle of Interceptor on tank). I will post pics to the forum.
