I think some of the guys that do coral shows fly with coral, probably wouldn’t be different for fish. I remember in a conversation that the guy from cali kid in concord mentioned he did it for special peices when he grabbed select peices from their facility in La.lol where on TSA does it say that?
Good luck.
i flew out of southwest a few months ago with 4x frag containers that carried sps and torches in an insulated bag. I left the containers in the bin by themselves, they went through the xray machine, and was told to step aside for inspection. They made me open each container up and I said they were live animals with that same print out in my hand. They asked the manager to come, he only looked at them and told me its okay and to proceed on my way.Specifically for corals, found it in one google search https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/live-coral
I have a couple of friends that works for TSA at OAK and SFO. Two of them are reefers. The 3.4oz liquid limit doesn’t apply to live fish and corals and a few other things such as baby formula, medicine, etc…..in a reasonable quantity. Also, lots of videos on YouTube with people taking live fish and corals through TSA with no issues. Just additional screening and swab test needed usually. I believe @NanoCrazed has flown with a Chicago anemone from Chicago back to the bay.lol where on TSA does it say that?
Good luck.
I dunno, seems like a certain shipper of fish that has been quoted a bunch of times was unawareIt’s well known that if there is a living animal in the liquid TSA will let it through after additional inspection. Idea being that all the dangerous stuff they are worried about wouldn’t have an animal living in it.
