Welcome @Adam M ! I made the same mistake of adding a "temporary" nickel sized blue tang to try and handle algae. 10 years later it still was in my tank until I gave it to someone with a 200gal+ (the size they should be in). They don't do much at all eating wise and you're better off with manual removal (brush) and a turbo snail until the rocks mature. A lawnmower blenny will get lazy and just eat whatever you feed your clown plus the film algae on rocks and glass.
Ya definitely going to avoid the tang for now. And I appreciate the advice with the blenny, I don't want to fill up my tank with anything I don't love.
