Different. I believe at some meetings both sides submits public comments, letters and in person statements for or against the Hawaii ban. After watching the last public hearing it’s not looking good for Hawaii to reopen any time soon tho. 99% of the in person statements was to keep Hawaii closed.

Watch the video. It’s interesting to hear the other side’s opinions as well.

 
Signed, included long comment, and shared with bunch of science/environ sci teachers (some of whom may oppose it). On a side note, I have been trying to support teachers setting up classroom SW tanks across the country. We may forget that a vast portion of the US has no coastal access and lacks experience, knowledge, and affinity for the oceans. Ocean conservation and public policy depends a lot on those people.
