Help with leaky plumbing

Side job or not, as an installer or "professional," you should still a good job and stand by your work. If you messed up, you should do everything to fix it, even if it means going negative. It should be a lesson learned for the installer and not for you. I really don't think there's a gray area in this matter... it's pretty black and white to me.
 
Clearly the guy who did the side job is a loser.
I'll bet you a Cherry acan he will not be working there for very long.
Side job or not he represents the shop. The boss would be pissed if he knew the guy was doing crappy work and even worse not being responsible for for his "craft ".
Anyone with this kind of work ethic will not hold a steady job for long.
The owner of the shop should know about it. Hiding it from him is not doing him a favor and certainly would not alienate you from the shop if you told him IMO.
 
Well hopefully it will all get cut out and replaced on Thursday, if not I''m doing it myself. And hopefully by then my skimmer will be in.
