How to install/use waterbox manifold?

Hello,
I have never installed or used a manifold. The waterbox I purchased comes plumbed to use one and they include a manifold with it (see pic below). The one they include has the potential for two outlets. I am looking to set up a GFO reactor and potentially one for carbon. But I’m clueless as to what other equipment I need to get this set up going. Any info would be appreciated.

Gerry.

Hey Eric,
yes, it has a place to attach it. What I need to know is what and how do I set up the other end? What kind of chamber works and how to attach it.

I have never set up a reaction chamber so not sure how to work this since it’s not inline.

Silicone or vinyl tubing goes on the barbed end. Most reactors come with barbed fittings also. The brs ones have john guest fittings but those can be removed for barbed ones.

What size reactor are you going to use ? On my 3/4 inch return there is a T with ball valve which then drops down to 1/2 inch murloc push connectors to the duel reactor . After the T connected to the UV sterilizer then wye fitting up to tank.. The 1/2 line is ridged but the fittings allow the line to rotate for flexibility to the reactor. Not waterbox but most reactors are plumbed similar.. Just wondering since most all duel carbon& Gfo reactors use 1/2 or larger lines..Unless you run a duel or two solo units separately on dedicated pump. Fyi I do not run the reactor 24/7 only intermittent when or if needed at times and use the larger grain GAC.
Stay away from the fine carbon it clogs more easily and is linked to fish health issues..There are mucho brands from $ to $$$ which all accomplish the same thing I use the one below in the link when needed.
