Ever hate when you clean your glass or do a water change and you notice something you don't like? occasionally it might be an aiptasia or two that you thought you nuked a while back.... but then something shocks you.
On one rock I simply siphoned this off no problem, assumed it was a diatom/algae patch... then I saw some more and figured, ok low flow area more diatoms.. then I pulled out the magnifying glass, and thought a colony of mini aiptasia? picture makes me think "brown polyps" (similar to the yellow polyp weeds)
