IM SR60 - back after a long hiatus

In your opinion, are these doing well under 700 PAR? What kinda sps are these?
They are coloring up well since I cut the OR3's down to 1.5 hours dawn and dusk and 2 hours at peak. It's really more like 600 PAR for 7 hours and 700 for 2 hours.

Here's what they looked like early on. The green polyped stag used to be blue. It's turning purple base with green polyps. The dark blue above it is a blue hoek (matrix) from Battle Corals. I would highly recommend him (Adam)!

Nitrates using a Hanna LR nitrate read 0.04 PPM. Too low? I'll check again in a few days. Was a chore for me to figure out how to use it. Could be operator error.
I dose phyto feast 2ml everyday and 0.5 cubes of spirulina brine every other day.
Only have 4 fish, 2 clowns and 2 chromis.
Would you feed more?

Also have a Santa Monica drop 1.2 that hardly grows any algae in it.

I have some dragons breath algae coming that I was going to put into the main tank but I think I'll skip it. If anyone wants to come and get it Thursday, you can have it.

Any and all comments are appreciated!
Ben

.04ppm nitrate might be on the low end, but if your corals are coloring up fine, then I wouldn't worry about it. What are your phosphate levels?

Ime feeding more is going to raise phosphate more than nitrate. More fish living and breathing (and eating) will bring up nitrate, but also yeah get rid of any macro algae or algae reactor you have going. Corals need some nitrate (especially with anll that light) and you’re close to not having any.

Thank you!

Appreciate your concern! It isn't, it came in that way and mantle not fully expanded. I'm feeding phyto.
Any tips?
What is your fish stocking list, just the clown and chromis?

Otherwise it not opening up is a very bad sign and the fact it doesn't look like it's adding shell means it's probably on death's door.

You'll want it to be under at least 250 PPFD too.

Your next best bet is if it isn't attached to the rock to do a freshwater (RODI) dip with baking soda and match the pH and temp to your tank for about 20 min.

Ok do the dip then and hopefully it opens up back for you. Check for pyramidellid snails as well. Good luck!

They also prefer to take up ammonia as a nitrogen source so more fish might be ideal given how low your nitrate levels are and the rapidly increasing coral list.

Clam farms use small amounts of ammonium nitrate but if you're not testing regularly you could potentially wipe out your fish. See if the dip helps first.
