Hello BAR!
We're excited to announce that we have updated the logo for the Bay Area Reefers Club. The new logo has been revamped to provide a modern, clean look while still keeping the simplistic lovable clown fish that represents saltwater and reef keeping. Be on the lookout for the new logo on banners, posters, clothing, and maybe more. We are currently working on the club banner for the Neptune Aquatics store in San Jose.
One of the greatest benefits from participating in this club is the diversity of knowledge that each member provides. You learn a lot about equipment, chemistry, fish and coral husbandry, propagation, photography, local sales, and more from reading people's tank journals, asking questions, reading threads, and interacting with these people at our club events. We help each other to achieve a successful and thriving saltwater aquarium and to promote the ethical husbandry and propagation of marine life.
Within the past 2 months, we've gained 8 new supporting members with 3 renewals. As of May 2015 this club has roughly 155 supporting members. We're also noticing a steady increase in Likes for the club's Facebook page. This club is growing, so expect some fun events, insightful presentations by experts in their fields, DIY workshops, and more.
Here are a couple BAR events to look out for in the near future:
