Keeping track...

I can not ever EVER for the life of me keep track of cups of salt when mixing. Anyone have the same problem. Anyone have a solution or should I just pay more attention? LOL

My trick : I put about 3/4 the amount in. Then wait a few hours, and measure.
If I count wrong, no big deal.
It is not like cup measurements are so perfect anyway.

At that point, it is close to done, and for me, almost exactly 1 cup per tick on the refractometer.

Bonus : It mixes better that way anyway.

That is what normally happens, I get around 4 or 5 cups and I say well shit, am I on 4 or 5? Wait, it was 3. No wait! It was 6!

I then go with my high number and repeat that at least twice and end up about 4 cups short of 15 at then end of it. o_O

The only solution I've found is to not get any older. So far it's worked for me! :):):)

I'm a ESV fan and the only way I know of to get any accuracy is to weigh out the components. I have a nice kitchen scale so it's quick, accurate and easy.

I use the Oxo Good grips SS food scale. It's about $50
