As some of you may know, I recently moved to the Bay Area from NY. I attempted to move the livestock from my 40g over, which didn't turn out so well. Below is a picture of my old 40g, which was pretty full:
Before my move, I bought an 80g Deep Blue tank as I loved the dimensions (4ft and wide) but wanted to limit the gallons as it would make water changes in an apt more difficult. I decided to wanted to try building my own stand and luckily had a father-in-law who had a ton of tools:
After arriving in the Bay Area, I started setting up the new tank:
Equipment list if anyone is interested:
2x Radion XR30 G4 Pro
48 inch Aquatic Life Hybrid
Jebao SCP 120 (from old tank)
MP40 QD (from old tank)
Trigger Sapphire 34 inch sump
Jebao DCP 6500 return pump
Reef Octopus Classic 110 INT (from old tank)
Apex EL
Tunze Osomolator (from old tank)
2x BRS dosing pumps (from old tank)
At this point I decided to have my 40g livestock shipped over, which was a huge mistake. I won't go into details here, but there was a lot of issues with Fedex...
Luckily a few pieces did manage to survive the trip:
Since my tank in NY was still running at the time, I didn't have all my equipment and @Coral reefer @ofzakaria were nice enough to coordinate and lend me a skimmer.
