Looking for HD TV - Post which you have

We were limited to 50" because of the cut-out in our family room wall - that's also part of the reason we went with Samsung instead of Sony - at the time, Sony's models had those non-removable speakers on the sides, which would have meant we'd have to go with a smaller screen size.
 
This is what I have. Replaced my 32" old sony tv. It's cheap :)

From where the couch resides and where the tv will either be mounted or sit on is about six feet.

The picture windows are on the other side of the room so there shouldn't be too much of a glare
 
Hahaha Arnold, as I said, I am stuck with the TV for a long long time.

Eileen, 46" is probably plenty big if you are only 6' away. Mine is about 12' away.
