Marine pure balls, seeded or unseeded

Interested, my nitrates are high. Was thinking about buying a new, maybe there’s some benefit to getting it pre-running.

For nitrates you need the marine pure blocks. The 8x8x4s. Reason is you need anaerobic bacteria the grows in oxygen deprived regions to break down nitrates.

The balls can help some but won't do much unless you have a lot but even then that's questionable. Chaeto or soft corals will be better at sucking up nitrates. Pulsing xenias, or kenya trees... fast growing types like those

reminds me... the other cheap way to achieve this is if you have a sump -- and space in it -- it to put a bin and create a deep sand bed.
