Setosa is technically a Montipora so kind of an odd question. Between the pokerstar and the setosa, I'd say the pokerstar would win just due to the rate of growth.

The setosa (monti also) isn't as aggressively encrusting so I bet it will get grown over some, but it's better at growing up so maybe can live too?

Given that they are both montis maybe they'll end up in a coral version of a cease fire...And respect each other's border?

Setosa with green polyp? That would be the dream.

M. Hispida grow branches like Setosa? Where M. Nodosa only encrust stuff.

There have been cases of green flourescent protein from other corals infecting setosa, but it turns the body green if I recall, not polyps.

Haven't seen any setosa with green in them before. Here's an old pic of the grafted setosa from Tim.

They made contact, and the pokerstar (nodosa) is kicking ass. The setosa lost 1/4" of flesh from contact point. I'll have to cut back the pokerstar as I like setosa better.
