Mounting suggestions

Looking for mounting advice.

I have two led bars I wanted to add to each side, but given one side is underneath the cabinets it makes hanging difficult. Bars are 36 inches frag tank is 48.

Here is what it looks like currently. Any ideas on ways to add them are appreciated.

Pair of Home Depot aluminum bar stock laid across the top of the Aquaticlife fixture with the LED bars mounted to the ends of those those using the supplied mounting brackets. The most you'd need is double sided Gorilla tape to keep them from moving around on top of the fixture. You could also put in double 90 degree bends into each end of the aluminum bars.

Solid idea, what should I search for on the Home Depot apps just aluminum bars? Any special grade or coating needed to stop it from getting in the water?

That stuff would work. I don't see any real need to coat it but for aesthetics. Bend, drill, file, sand, etc and use a high gloss paint. Cerakote if you want to get fancy.

Edit: I just picked the 2 inch to give enough room for the brackets. Haven't measured but the 1.5" might work too

I would attach some nice maple hardwood 1x2 to the bottom of the cabinet, sticking straight out.
Nicely stained to match cabinets.
Upside down cantalever.
Then have the lights hang from those.

You would have to screw into the cabinets, but it is underneath/inside, where it will not show.
