MP-10 Ceramic Shaft Hacks? They keep breaking.

Having a problem with my Vortech MP10 ceramic shafts breaking at their base. Attempted fix, I flipped the shaft over so the rough edge is pointed up and into the shield (with smooth end now at the base) and it is quiet again. Temporarily quiet no doubt.

Wondering if anyone has a hack to stretch the assemblies out. Or if I should be buying the ceramic part from somewhere and replacing that within the wet-side assembly.

Tired of replacing entire assemblies at $75 a shot.

Try fiberglass rods, TAP Plastics have that in stock.
Not sure if it will be the same size but worth to try.

I suspect you have, what, MP-100s in your tank? MP-10s are mini.

I am talking about the ceramic shaft breaking from the ceramic base.
I had 6 mp10 for years. Currently have 2 mp10 on my frag tank also..they are also very durable.
You mean the shaft that connect the fan?
Any picture?

No vinegar used. The one that broke most recently was replaced less than 4 months ago. I did have them cranked up to "11" and running in reef crest mode. Not sure it that had anything to do with it. The shafts look pretty delicate at this size. I've since turned them down.

I found a video of someone who is using shrink wrap. Exploring this.
