Ok it's installed. I'll need to figure out how to pipe in a rodi line fresh water to wash the container

So everyone gets nasty junk in the neck? I get more nasty stuff in the neck than in the cup itself. I always thought it was because I oversized my skimmer. ?

So from what I understand there gunk prevents skimmate from heading up the neck into your cup.

The RODI sprayer has its own pump built in, or it is only an input line? I guess it depends how much pressure you need. Can do gravity feed from ATO if available or T off of RODI output? Can put a solenoid switch on it and control by apex or timer. Otherwise need separate pump from ATO?

I have an external skimmate locker so it's just to flush the cup.

I'm pretty sure you use tank water for the wash down. Might want to check with silef on that.

Not bad I could actually see the foam head now that the necks clean.

My diy chaeto reactor is working well to.

Started with a tennis ball last Monday. 9 days

Weekend project complete. Added a apex pmup to flush the aquadriver and then made acrylic lids for the sump.

You may have answered this already, but what tipped you off to the chloramine in your water? What were the symptoms etc...

And what test kit did you use for Chloramines?

Corals does great for about a month then rapid deterioration. Tested all parameters are good except the total chlorine showed 2.0ppm

Hmm, that problem sounds familiar, and we do have Chloramines here...
Time to do some testing.

Hmmm, I'm kind of freaked out about chlorimines now being in San Jose too. I thought standard carbon filters could handle that. In addition to ROX carbon media too.
