My 40G doesn't look good

Don't know why I didn't see this earlier >:( .. I'm worried.. I think I have to tear it down and do something about it. Check out the seam and lmk what you guy think.. The other side isn't this bad but doesn't look that good either.

That one spot towards the bottom of the picture looks like there is almost no silicone connecting the front and side pane. I don't think that is a good thing but hopefully someone else will chime in.

I think it's probably ok as is.

That tank has a top and bottom frame, and you have a decent bead of silcone on the inside of each corner which gives strength to the joint. The silicone in between the panes doesn't do all that much relative to everything else.

I'm with Norm, the strength isn't so much the glass to glass, but the smeared stuff on either side of the corner, plus the bracing on the top and bottom will guarantee that won't blow out, not for a tank that small.

Just empty the tank ;D... I think the tank is not perfectly level that's why. Better be safe than sorry.. It's not my house so I can't take risk. I was hoping to transfer the stuff into it in couple days but I guess that ain't happen. Tomorrow I will need to empty 80 lbs of live sands >:(.

I was thinking 1/2" Norman ;) ..

The freaking floor isn't level. I had a 100g tank there before and didn't have any problem but it was acrylic. Anyway I put a piece of wood across the front of the stand. Does this look ok?

Should I worry about the gap on the sides? I don't know what to put in there because of the gap is a triangle shape.

so it's ok?? I checked the tank and it doesn't seem as bad as I thought. If this is cool, I'm going to throw the sand back in and fill it up tomorrow.

That's fine for leveling a cabinet. That's all we do when we install cabinets in the chem labs we build. Aside from anchoring all the cabinets down to the conrete for seismic safety, that is.
