Were these not the ones that drain the tank a lot when turning off the return pump given how low they are positioned? I remember I was interested in them too but this was their downside.
I didn't have an issue with them as long as I had them more up towards the surface of the water. I stopped using them recently as it didn't seem like I was getting as much water agitation. I was doing everything to try and increase my PH levels.

If you depend on the returns for surface agitation with RFGs you have position them very high/slightly out of the water which defeats the purpose of using them in my opinion. They are much better utilized pointing into the tank to randomize flow through the rockscape/corals in the direction you point them at. I use power heads near the surface for the surface agitation when using RFGs.

Another thing to note about RFGs is they really need a quite a bit of GPH to make use of the random flow. For my 1in RFGs I believe it was 500-800gph per nozzle is what they recommended.

I might be interested in them then if you are not using them anymore. As @Arvin R said, the will not help much with water agitation or even PH. That’s what the gyres are for :). And my view on PH has changed recently. Great if you are getting high PH but even lower PH with a high of 8.1 or so and a low of 7.9 can create nice growth if your other parameters are dialed in.

The final piece to the puzzle! Now I can go back to skimming a little more wet.
I used to be a fan of reef octopus skimmer. I use this brand and many model for many year. If you want wet skim you just raise the water level or lower the skimmer down.

Yeah that's what I originally bought them for and had my return pump all the way up but when they are facing in other directions I was having the siphoning issues.

Yeah I was holding on to them for now as I was planning on getting into this budget build contest but the wife has very strict guidelines on what i can get lol. So I have been lurking in the shadows for the right tank lol after I got the c02 scubber my PH has been staying solid at 8.4 without any fluctuating.

Take the scrubber off and PH will go into free fall. Artificial elevation, similar to kalk, where the tank cannot keep a high PH on its own which you have to build up over time vs the shortcut method. Also, higher PH leads to higher precipitation of whatever you are dosing. Once PH goes down, this will all released back into the tank at once which leads to this mysterious tank crashes.

I ordered some TPU filament that’s coming in the next few days and going to try printing some. I read that TPU is kind of difficult to work with but if all goes well Im planning to make several that I’m hoping to bring to CFM or pass onto someone who is if I can’t attend

Man those white APS stands IM makes are so nice
They are definitely a set above everyone else. One of the main reasons I steered away from waterbox. Anytime I had seen a waterbox stand it was always messed up and didn't seem to be constructed as well.

If Kramer comes through your door is he putting a hole in the tank? Or is there enough space there?
No all that was made sure of before water was put in. Even the ato next to it is safe. I will have to take a picture when I get home to put your mind at ease lol I'm on my way to pick up my budget build tank if all works out.
