I would guess part of it was most of the aiptasia it could get to were consumed. These were not in my home tanks ever, but clients tanks. Usually I utilize autofeeders with pellets, and rely on the client to feed frozen. So sometimes it’s a bit of a mystery how much they are really eating that isn’t growing in the tank. Other than that no real ideas. Didn’t seem to get bullied by other fishWhy do you think the Copperband was able to survive 1-2 years then die? I have also heard before that many can get a Copperband to live for 1 year then they pass away. It seems like people attribute it to eating issues but I am not sure.
