Neptune Aquatics 435G SPS Display Tank Build

It looks like the tank is right next to a wall. Perhaps a simple earthquake fix is to bolt it to that?
Although there is debate that the risk of making it rigid is worse than the risk of collapse.

Are all those side panels hinged?
If one on each X/Y is solid, there is a lot less concern.

Great build though, and stand looks great with that dark stain.
The kid is bugging me to drop by your shop again, so please hurry up and have it done by this weekend. ;)

I think Gresh and Tony had one too many drinks today....LOL. What were you guys thinking? We were going to put the puppy into the cannon then shoot him into the tank with the Bearsharktopus in it.....silly.

Got to work on this a little bit today. Installed the float valve for gravity fed ATO into the sump and shoved it into the stand....

It took 6 guys to place the tank on the stand. The best part was Ed let me borrow these super fun suction tools which made lifting the 400 lbs tank so much easier....

THANKS AGAIN ED!

And here's the tank ready to be plumbed tomorrow!

BTW...I made slight miss calculation with the cabinet door opening. I realize today that the skimmer cup is about 1/2" too wide and about 1.5"and too tall so I had no room to pull the cup out of the stand. DOH! Luckily, Gen will come to the rescue and going to make me a new skimmer cup and re-use the existing cup's neck. In other words, he will decapitate the new cup's neck and re-use it on the new one. Should be interesting rework. I will try to post some pics of the before and after mods when the new cup arrive.

More pics!

The return pumps has extra capacity that I didn't need so I tapped off both to feed the Vertex GFO reactor....

I told Cerissa I am going to add 6X AI Super Blue next week and this is the answer I get....

Finally got a little more work done on the tank today. The false canopy milled out to accepts the 6 AI modules so that only the bottom portion of the fixture is visible. This also allow us to perform quick service of the lights just case we need to replace them in the future.

Looks like you could still fit the A350's when they are available. :)
Then you could switch between the two systems for sales demonstrations.
Install an electric winch to adjust canopy height for different systems. Etc..
Always fun to dream with someone else's $ !
Looks very nice Robert.

Love the look of lighting setup!

Please post if you do some PAR measurements though.

The main reason being:
You have 144 LEDs at 450 watts. I have 140 LEDs at 400 watts.
So pretty similar, but my tank is half that size.
Mine are DIY, but still XP-G/XP-E.

I am curious if I overdid it a bit.
