Hey BAR in a few days or so I will be transferring my overgrown maroon into a friends tank for more space. Being said , I’m going to need new fish in my tank. The tank I currently have is 20 gallons and has a variety of coral in it (I’ll write the specific types of interested). Any suggestions as to what type of fish/fishes I should get ?

You’re passing on a clown so I won’t recommend them but a starry blenny might work. I don’t think they need much room. Cardinals are good. I like black cap basslets but I think 20 gallons is just a little too small.

Nano gobies, pygmy filefish, a tiger pistol and some highfin shrimpgobies would be great in a 20g

Ugh... Now I'm getting the urge to set up a nano...

Do it!! Big tanks have their advantages but nothing beats mini ecosystems in my opinion... hence, my handle. Hah

They get YUGE! ...like 3". :D
That’s kinda big for a 20 gal I guess. The one I had was at least 3” maybe closer to 4” and fat and An aggressive water but not aggressive tank mate. It died by jump through the feeding slot

Bummer. One of my favorite fish. Used to keep several in my DT.
