Hi all, I’m Isaac, I’m new here and to the hobby. Currently in a PhD here and wanted a slow burn hobby to obsess over, and had been lurking and generally fascinated for a while now. I’m a total newbie so any tips are greatly appreciated. Decided to skip FW since it just doesn’t do it for me but hoping I can be patient/diligent enough to learn.

I’ll be moving in around 1-2 years but plan to restart again then hopefully, so am trying to learn as much as I can in this first setup and mainly invest in experience and upgradable equipment and only minimally in livestock that I can hopefully find new homes for. (So also here to find people who will take care of whatever stock I have to leave behind.)

I have a 20 gallon long I just started cycling with the goal of making it a macro tank with some easy/cheap fast growers like Xenia, a small cuc, and a blenny, but I’ll put that all in a tank log. Anyway hi everyone, excited to try my hand and learn from y’all!

Welcome to the club! Feel free to ask any questions you have here. Good that you’re already thinking of starting a tank journal, that definitely comes in handy! Best of luck to you!

Welcome to the club! You've come to the right place. The amount of wisdom here is immense. Where are you located BTW? Where do you plan on moving to? I'm sure when that time comes, we can help you find homes for your livestock.
