I just got the quote for the 96" (8 ft) x 30" x 30" CDA and stand and it comes in close to $14,000. $8,000 for the tank, $2500 for the steel frame, and $2500 for the wood covering. I'll have to see if this build is going to go all out or be slightly more reasonable with a 6 foot tank.

Dropping the height to 24” should lower the price significantly with CDA. You can also probably save a bit by hiring locally to skin the stand. I was shopping for a 8ft tank as well, but ended up moving so plans went out. If you’re comfortable with acrylic, I’d check with John at advanced acrylics too. Or Titan Aquatics in AZ.

Interesting that the IM has 3/4" glass, but CDA only has 1/2", RSR is in between at 5/8 or so.

RSR adds a lot more parts in the sump, so is not a 1-1 comparison on price.

Note that 3 sides = 3 sides to keep clean.

IM seems like a great deal. Lower price, thicker glass, better low height.

Flow in a long peninsula can be a challenge.
