Nitrate test kits

So I DO NOT trust API, about to try salifert...anybody got a relatively easy to use and reasonably accurate nitrate test kit they like? I mainly just doclots of water changes and have stopped trying to test nitrate because I haven't found a good kit... has anybody tried the pinpoint Hand held one?

Sure you're not going to get low resolution, but which kit is accurate at low resolution?

I've had several of them that pretty much gave the same reading on different tanks. 3 kits, one always near zero, one always at 20 one always at 40. Can't be good...

how old were your kits?

FWIW ive used API, salifert, and elos....all read pretty much the same. I do get off readings when my API kit gets old, but thats usually around the 10-12 month mark. ( i dont test nitrate too often after getting a denitrator)
