Continuing the OT discussion, if the accurate response to someone doing a semi-normal thing (filing DBTC requests) is "please don't use the DBTC system because it causes noise, and contact people directly", that may be a smell there's something awry with the DBTC setup. Maybe the "person has requested" posts should be disabled?

Exactly what I just proposed to the BOD. Also an archive section for old/dead chains.

Just like posts in the BST forum, automated DBTC posts should not be displayed in the feed and should live in the DBTC forums IMO

Maybe actual human posts can go to main page idk
