- Mounted 9 inches above water for spread (is narrow version)
- 30"x12"x12" 20 gallon long
- 100% intensity 100% blue
- No lid (lid reduced intensity by 20-25% in all areas)
- Using club Apogee MQ-510 par meter

Interestingly, 100% whites yielded way more PAR - just under surface went from 450 -> 750/800. I'm not gonna be running much white, but something to know

The smaller the text the further back.

Did you measure with a 1/4 or 1/2 inch mesh lid.
I have a DIY lid made using twin-wall greenhouse siding. Really not ideal, but there's so many things hanging onto the rim that it would have been a major challenge to make a mesh lid myself

Interesting you were able to get 230 at the bottom and 200 just above.
I really don't know. My best guess is the reflective sand and maybe the glass? Even the top of the fox coral read lower than the bottom. I think I'm going to retest this

update: just measured again. Yes, sandbed is 230 where I said it was. Yes, the fox coral is 200. As the meter moves towards the coral, the number drops until it hits 200.

I intend to eventually set up a separate 10 gallon tank and move my anemone + zoa rock there, and move the fox coral to where the zoa rock is now. That would open up space for a clam where the fox coral is. I will need the meter again at that time to measure again lol :)
