PH reference

Hi,

What is the best way to get some PH reference?
Is there a way to make them? How??
Does anyone have already made?
I wanted to use it to calibrate my controller or make a better calibration method. I think the reference I have has been compromised.
The method I used yielded me probably .5 PH above of what it should be.

Thanks

If you don't have access to a lab just buy it in small packets. We make it for our lab but we employee scientists that make it for us

I bet Robert could get you some @ Neptune.

righty-o Gresham. I picked up my packets from Neptune (Robert had a bunch in stock a few weeks ago). You will need pH 7 and pH10 (yellow/blue). iirc, they are $2 each at neptune. I got 2 of each (immediate and future calibration).

..but as per the meeting, most viewed pH as not very useful for day to day but useful as a diagnostic when things go bad (ie, knowing your daily swing isn't that important...debatably...but knowing that your tank is looking like crap over night and you see a big spike in pH in your logs is important, like indicating an inadvertant kalk dump)
