Hi guys,

My friend and I are enrolled in the marketing research class at UCSD extension. We're doing a research project for this course on the market of pre-built reef aquarium kits designed for miniature reef home aquarium set-ups.

We'd like to conduct a short online survey with people on this forum because you guys are the expert. The survey is anonymous. It has 15 easy-to-answer questions and can be finished in less than 10 minutes. Please be assured that the information collected during the survey will be confidential and will only be used for the market research project of this class.

Lin: done and done w/ survey. Looking forward to see results just for the heck of it. You might also want to check out www.sdreefs.com They're the local forum, or if you want a smaller subset: http://www.sdmas.com/ which is the official reef club down there. If I recall correctly, there were at least a few reefers down there that were UCSD students too if you needed in person interviews of any sort. Goodluck on the research.
 
Just an FYI. Lots of the selections in your survey are very low (i.e. price range, size, monthly maintenance costs, etc.). My guess is that many of the hobbiest in this forum may top out at the "or more" categories which may or may not be helpful in your survey.
 
kind of a funny survey.
I checked that my education was "high school or less" cuz I aint got no degree.
I spent way to many years in college for that!
