Precipitation Question

Hi, Happy New Year! arty:

Yesterday, I mixed some two part in my barrel of salt mix, and I made the mistake of not waiting to add the ALK to CA, :X so I have 45 gals of white water in my barrel with a KH of 14. :Sp Is this water wasted, or will in settle down w/i the week or so? Please advise H) . It's Salinity and I hate to waste that much salt....

Adding alk to ca or visa versa will precipitate calcium carbonate, which as far as we are concerned, is irreversible.

Is it safe for me to put in my display, or does that mean this water is unsuitable for use anymore. Is it ok for me to drain it into the toilet system if not suitable for the display?

Precipitation means removed from solution, so if you needed what was removed from solution, then no. If all that was removed from solution was unneeded, then you are fine

If I crashed a bunch out in a salt mix, I would discard.
