Protein skimmer problem

how come my protein skimmer doesn’t pick up dirty stuff no more. It still working. And I noticed that it shootouts a lot bubbles in to display tanks.

From the picture that water in the skimmer cup looks extremely clean.

My best guess, is you need to adjust the air bleeder nob, or check the mounting height of the skimmer.

Have you ever taken the whole thing out and cleaned it?

(That could also possibly solve your problem.)

Also how long have you been running the skimmer?

Open the pump and check the impeller/pin wheel.

I had icecap. I did took it out and check it. Look ok . It keep shooting out bubble out side

You likely need to adjust the skimmer like @MichaelB said. I'd give the instructions a read and see how to do so.

How many fish and how big is the tank as well? A good way to start is to create a tank journal so we can look there and better tailor the advice!

I had 6 fish in 50 gallons tanks. With icecap skimmer.

No new additive, been qorking fine for several months. Something is clogging the skimmer. Give it a good cleaning.

Agree with this one, likely algae in the needle wheel.
