DIY special. Had some leftover neodymium magnets. Tap plastics sells precut rings and flat disks. Sandwich together, a little WeldOn 4, a sprinkle of superglue here and voila!

Test of patience. I got this Reef Raft Red Wing Mille sometime at the end of 2022, though the earliest picture I can find is from Jan 2023. It has taken forever to do much of anything, but it seems to have found its stride now. Let’s keep the trend up.

Slightly overgrown and forgotten? I kinda forgot (ignored) this frag on the rack. It’s grown up the glass as well as all over the rack. Good thing it doesn’t stick to glass to well and the rack still removable without damaging the colony. Now I gotta figure out what to do with it.

I see a number of people got the a POTO Flamethrower from Thirstyreef in that group buy. (@derek_SR, @Krak256 & @Invictus) I got one from him last Jan 2024 and thought some might be interested in how it’s done over the last 13-14 months. It actually sat on a frag plug on the rack for a while (6-8ish months) before I put it on the rock structure, but it looks like it’s encrusting on the rock now.

A friendly reminder that everyone should look at their tank at night after the lights go out every so often. What you see can be different! I used to have my acros’ polyp extension (PE) all day on my old RedSea Reefer, but on this tank most of my acros only show their full PE after dark. Compare this to the daytime pic from the post above (#208).
Do you hit it with a flashlight or turn the lights on?

Blue flashlight. Or quickly look with lights on all blues at 5%. Even at 5%, a good amount of the polyps will retract for me

Rainbow Splice
Here's another acro that's been a test of my patience. I got this all green RRC Rainbow Splice back in October 2021 when yellow pieces that had any red streak was close to $1000, so I settled for a $200 all green piece. Here's how it's turned up since (including some "micro-fragging" here and there.

Plenty...the list is long.
Speciosas are a mystery to me still and for some reason Angry Birds always die on me. Jawdroppers never show me love. The list goes on....
