Recommended shops in LA?

My go to is Ellis aquatics. (Jayson) it’s a chop shop in Compton. Pretty good coral. Jay will cut you frags from the colony if you ask.
Lax is ok. Age of aquariums is meh. Tongs is meh. Seaside has good fish.
Those are just a few off the top of my head.
There a lot of people that sell out of their houses. They are on socalireefers or fb marketplace.

Julian sprung recommended amazing aquariums & reefs in orange, for having very well done display tanks.

Vivid is a cool spot to visit. It's about 45 min to an hour away in canoga park depending on what time you leave Pasadena. Nice selection if you have a specific piece in mind, and the staff there are cool.
I came in near closing and they still let me browse for another 30 min while we talked reef stuff. If they do that all day and are willing to put up with a tourist, you're alright in my book.
Golden state is usually at cfm every time.
