ReefMat and two drains?

Can you add dual drains to a ReefMat 1200? I know it has two "inlets," but there's two for convenience depending which side you want the drain to go into. Would it be possible to just buy another "hose connector" and attach that to a second drain?

Also, my second drain is an emergency drain so should I even be feeding it to the ReefMat, or just let it drain into the sump directly?

The emergency should dump into your su.p directly so you can hear when your main drain is plugged.
