Thanks - I needed that. I thought nems needed stable conditions, lots of light, and actually dirty water as nutrient source. Good info for me!

But did the change in PH make any difference?

I think so, yes. But rather hard to tell.
I had rather low PH, due to vinegar dosing I think. Growth may have increased slightly after raising it.
I switched to Kalk to raise PH though. Similar effect, cheaper, and other benefits.
