So Rich is not feeding any live food phytoplankton, copepod, rotifers to keep his NPS thriving? I feel live food is a requirement to keep NPS thriving.

Nope. I used to feed BBS and might again if I get motivated to do it, but I don't think live food is necessary. Some of that stuff is spendy.
I do use golden pearls and freeze dried rotis, and sometimes frozen rotis.
