Decided to upgrade the light hood over the main tank. Should have done this when my dad was alive but I didn’t think about it until now. I used strut channels/parts to make this a floating hood.

Well last night I had one RBTA and this morning I have 2 RBTA’s. This is in my 60 gallon system in the garage. I’m hoping this was a happy split and not a stress related split. I tested the normal parameters and everything matches the Saturday test. Other then the Salinity which I don’t know which device is correct the other parameters are 8Alk, 495Ca, 1380Mag, 5 No3, .09 Po4, temp 25. I got this on February 27 from @svreef and it has not moved from this spot. Only thing that has changed is that in the past 3 days I have started to dose Redsea AB+(Half dose which is 5ml).

Those are basically window screen frames. I’ve been meaning to find a different solution that’s more low profile. Don’t know if there is a way to make a acrylic frame or 3D print window frame tracks.

This company makes what you're describing - I got one for my biocube. https://www.thekrakenreef.com/products/coralife-biocube-lids

Kinda hard to diy - the cutout acrylic part is relatively easy, but it seems hard to make a channel for the screen spline... Probably need a CNC router or something.

You could also sandwich the mesh between two weld-on glued acrylic bits, but it doesnt dry super clear. I did this for an early biocube lid.
