I finally transferred all my rock, fish, and coral over the weekend from my old 10g. Also finished my first custom sump build in a aqueon 20g and built custom front and side panels for my stand.

So far everyone looks happy and healthy!

Thank you! So far I have the 2 clowns, firefish, fireshrimp, and a yellow watchman goby/pistol shrimp pair. I was thinking about adding a 6line wrasse and a flame or coral beauty angel. Maybe even a midas blenny. Just have to see how quickly nitrates accumulate before adding all those fish.

Looks great! The 40 breeder is a classic for a reason. What's your hardware look like for the tank and stocking plans besides the two clowns? Also highly recommend you mount the surge protector above ground level and put some drip loops in to protect it!
As for hardware I have a 200w sicce heater, 3 sicce wavemakers, an overflow box and 400w return from amazon, skimmer(unknown brand), uv filter and a light from nicrew.

Decided to ditch the vinyl hoses and go full PVC. After all is said and done the end product is cleaner, quieter, more functional, and overall more aesthetically pleasing. At first I went with PVC tape to try and make it watertight. That was a fail as it developed a leak overnight. Switched to a two part (primer/glue) PVC glue from Oatey. Running for 6 hours now with no signs of a leak. I also added a valve to the output to control the flow of my return pump. $3 fix for the slurping and gurgling noises coming from my overflow. Definitely recommend PVC but make sure you have a plan before you commit as I made some frustrating mistakes.

The tank is looking incredible after the frag swap this past weekend. I wanted to thank the wonderful folks at CaliKid and everyone else who worked their butts off to make this event happen. These are just some of the corals I was able to snag at the event (couldn't get good photos of the other ones). I also could not be happier about the lightning maroon clowns I was able to win from the raffle. One of them is already hosting in my bubble tip nem!

Mind those U-tubes for air bubbles
I recommend a using a Venturi nozzle to suck the air out to prevent reduction and possible loss of siphon

There are several capable members that could drill your tank for a fixed overflow
