Carpal Tunnel here. Couldn't do it. Sounds wimpy, huh.
 
I think my next stop would be the kitchen to get a plastic spatula. slide it under the magnet and have all the leverage you need to seperate it from the glass. Not fancy... but i bet it would work.
 
I've had two vortech magnets get together when cleaning two at the same time (word of advice, don't, clean one, reassemble, disassemble the other clean then reassemble) there was nothing to grab onto or anything... needed to pry it with a screwdriver and of course that screwed up the coating.
 
The twist and turn is easy when you have something in the middle. When there is nothing in the middle, the rubber feet make it hard to twist.
